Manchester United have approached Bayern Munich over a deal for centre-back Jerome Boateng, according to reports in Germany.
The Premier League side believe their Bundesliga counterparts will ask for around £45m to allow the Germany international to leave the Allianz Arena.
It is understood that Boateng - who spent a season at United's bitter rivals Manchester City - could be open to a move to Old Trafford.
However, United are not the only side who are interested in the 73-cap international. Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said last month that Boateng was in talks with PSG.
He is the latest centre-back United have shown an interest in this summer, with Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his defence before Thursday's transfer deadline.
Courtois Speak on Potential Real Madrid Move
Thibaut Courtois says he is relaxed regarding his potential transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid.
The Belgium international has been consistently linked with a move to the Spanish champions, who appear determined to finally strengthen their goalkeeping position.
Courtois' agent has called on Chelsea to allow his client to move to Real, with the stopper keen to return to Spain, where he previously played for Atletico Madrid.
Courtois maintains that he is remaining relaxed over the potential transfer, with Maurizio Sarri reportedly holding talks with the 26-year-old following their Community Shield defeat to Manchester City.
"My transfer? I am not going to say anything about that now, it is a delicate situation," he told Belgian press.
"I cannot say much, I am not thinking about that, I am calm and becoming anxious would not help. What is important is to be ready for next season."
Reports: Everton Agree Deal for Barca's Mina
Everton have finally reached an agreement with Barcelona over the signing of defender Yerry Mina, as per reports.
Barca, who were initially reluctant to drop their £35 million ($47m) valuation of the Colombia international, have settled on a fee in the region of €32m (£29m/$37m) following a dramatic last 48 hours of developments in the player's future.
Marco Silva's side appeared to be on the verge of signing Mina, who starred for Colombia at the World Cup, on July 26, although turned their attentions to Marcos Rojo having been frustrated by Barca's initial refusal to lower their asking price.
Manchester United then emerged as possible suitors to sign the former Palmeiras defender, only for the Red Devils to pull the plug on their interest late on Saturday night, as they focused on other targets, namely Toby Alderweireld.
Silva's Everton had appeared not to be interested in returning to the negotiating table having been messed around by Barca in their attempts to sign Mina, with United's late interest having also muddied the waters.
Dutch Legends Seedorf & Kluivert Take Charge of Cameroon
Clarence Seedorf has been appointed the new coach of Cameroon's national team, with fellow former Netherlands international Patrick Kluivert named his assistant.
The duo will take over the Africa Cup of Nations champions, who missed out on qualification for the World Cup, with their first game against Comoros next month.
Team-mates at both Ajax and the Oranje, Seedorf and Kluivert picked up a combined 165 caps for their nation during glittering professional careers.
Seedorf, however, a four-time winner of the Champions League during a distinguished playing career, has thus far struggled to make an impact as a manager.
The 42-year-old lasted just four months in his first post at one of his former clubs, AC Milan, while he also failed to see out six months in short spells at China League One team Shenzhen and LaLiga side Deportivo La Coruna.
Former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who replaced Seedorf at Shenzhen in December 2016, had been linked with taking over the Cameroon job but the former Ajax and Real Madrid player instead got the nod.
Fulham to Sign Arsenal Defender Chambers on Loan
Arsenal defender Calum Chambers will complete a season-long loan move to Fulham, as per reports.
The centre-back will be given the opportunity to play regular first-team football in the Premier League with the Cottagers, although Unai Emery's side are not currently interested in entertaining the idea of a permanent sale.
Chambers, who signed a new contract with the club in July, has been given the chance to impress during Arsenal's pre-season, including in the most recent victories over Chelsea, as a late substitute, and Lazio.
Emery would prefer Chambers to receive more minutes this season, as he did as a regular at Middlesbrough in 2016-17, with the likes of Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Shkodran Mustafi, Rob Holding and Konstantinos Mavropanos all options at centre-back at the Emirates Stadium.
Indeed, both Holding and Mavropanos will remain with the first-team squad despite interest from rival clubs over loan deals.
West Ham Want Lucas Perez from Arsenal
West Ham are trying to sign Arsenal forward Lucas Perez, according to reports.
Perez, who can also play out wide, has been a target for the Hammers this summer and would be a cheaper alternative to other targets.
West Ham have ended their pursuit of Porto winger Yacine Brahimi after failing to agree personal terms with the player. The clubs had agreed a fee.
Perez has found first-team opportunities limited following his move to the Emirates from Deportivo La Coruna in August 2016 for a fee understood to be £17.1m - scoring once in 11 Premier League matches. He spent last season on loan with Deportivo, scoring eight goals in 35 appearances.
