MARRIED BUT NO SEX PART 1-7

MARRIED BUT NO SEX - Part 1
She came in to the bedroom with her transparent night gown wearing a romantic perfume. Nobody was left at the house after a long day of felicitations and congratulations for the success of their wedding. Who would have thought Sis Rose could get married after several attempts failed at the altar of disappointment and betrayal.

Sis Rose had been into 8 relationships that never led to marriage. Getting suitors was never her problem but getting to the aisle was never realistic until she met Bro Solo. Bro Solo was a well-known brother in the choir and the dream husband of every lady as he seemed to be an example of a true Christian.

Bro Femi dated her for 18 months and jilted her because she refused him sex before marriage. Bro Ifeanyi left her after a year of relationship when he went for National Youth Service Corps at Enugu where he found Sis Chinyere. Bro Austin never gave any reason for quitting their relationship of 4 months. The history of Sis Rose's relationship journey was heartbreaking as she had dated 8 guys in 14 years.

'Bro Solo is going to leave like others, why put in the remaining pieces of my heart?', she thought. On her traditional wedding, she fainted twice for unbelief and shock that Bro Solo did not leave like other brothers.  It was a well-celebrated and well-attended wedding. Members of the choir and ushering team added colour to the day as one of their own were the celebrants of the day.

The joy and excitement that Sis Rose was leaving singles fellowship of the church at 43 made the pastor overjoyed, so much that he made Sis Rose's wedding one of the best since the inception of the church. Family and friends were not left out as they all created scenes to add colour to the day.

Family and friends stayed back and never wanted to leave them alone even at the late hour of the night. Sis Rose had jokingly told her friends to leave to allow them start their honeymoon and everyone laughed. 'Madam are you driving us?' And they laughed again. In all these Bro Solo was indifferent as to whether they left or not.

At about 11:03pm, she joined him in the bedroom ready for action of the moon. This is the day she has been looking forward to; a day she wanted to be grabbed, squeezed, cuddled and made love to. A day she will have sex and not see it as sin against God. 'Dear, I am all yours now. Do to me what wish. I am not wearing anything underneath just to give you easy access.'

'Before we are carried away with the joy of our wedding let's thank God first for all his has done for us', Bro Solo replied. And the prayer of thanksgiving turned to intercessory prayers and then to warfare prayers. After 40 minutes Bro Solo was still praying. A prayer that was already getting Sis Rose pissed up. How can we turn our honeymoon to a prayer meeting? She thought within herself. She couldn't stop the prayer meeting because the tempo of the prayers increased by the minute. At about 12:29am she dosed off and went into a deep sleep. That night they missed the first flight!

Before Sis Rose could wake up by 6:30am, Bro Solo was already dressed up to meet an appointment for 7am in order to secure bus ticket for some of their guests who were slated to go with the first bus. 'Where are you going to this early that you are already dressed up?' she quarreled her husband. 'But we didn't make love last night being our first night together. Before you go out this morning, you must make love to me.' Dear, I am sorry that cannot happen now as I need to meet up for this appointment by 7am. I will make it up to you when I come back.

Sis Rose was not going to take no for an answer that morning. She jammed the door and held the keys "You are not going out this morning until you make love to me"! She called the pastor, "Hello sir, you need to make to our house now or else...."

The pastor quickly diverted from his way to his office to their house. 'What could warrant this distress call from the newest couple?' he thought within himself.

Why do you think Bro Solo is not sleeping with his wife? Find out in part 2

MARRIED BUT NO SEX - Part 2
''Would I supervise your spiritual life and also supervise your sexual life? Sexuality in marriage does not contaminate spirituality. Bro Solo why have you not touched your wife? I am your pastor and I have been sleeping with my wife for more than 20 years now. Prayer cannot replace sex in marriage. You are now married and licensed to have sex. Making love to your wife is no more a sin.'

'I know it is possible you are a virgin but today virginity is no longer profitable. If you don't know how to do it, I am here to teach you. You can ask me any question on sex. Sis Rose is now yours and by my authority, her parents authority and the authority of heaven you can kiss her, romance her and sleep with her as many times as is convenient for both of you. The way you rush your first meal after a long chain fasting is the same way I expect you to rush your wife. If there's any issue, you can confide in me.'

'Thank you daddy, we shall do the needful as you have counselled', Bro Solo said. After seeing the Pastor off to the other side of the road where his car was parked, the Pastor turned to the couple and said, 'Sis Rose ensure you call me later to let me know how everything goes. Bye! Bye!'

When they arrived back at their apartment, Bro Solo begged his wife to let him sort out and discharge all their guests so they could have uninterrupted time together. 'Let's do a quick one before you go, when you come back we can relax and have a nice time together.

'Why are you in hurry to have sex Sis Rose, sorry dear? How long will it take me to sort out our guests that you can't wait? Where is the self-control they've been teaching us about in church? Are we married because of sex or to fulfill God's purpose for our lives?

This is almost 24 hours we have been married, we have not discussed or done anything reasonable than sex. Must we have sex immediately after our wedding? Will the sex run away if we don't do it today? Why are you so particular about sex over other things that can add value to our lives and marriage. If we don't do it today, we can do it tomorrow.'

Sis Rose became worried and highly agitated at this time. Is there anything he is hiding from me? She thought! This is a lacuna of God's law. *"Marriage is honourable in all, and bed undefiled".* She questioned the law of God with hundreds of questions. I have kept the bed undefiled all these years, would I still stay away from the bed after marriage? Even if he is not going to make love to me, why won't he kiss me, hug me, caress me or even give peck. I want to feel like a woman but my man is a shadow of a real man.

I will not allow him go out today, the neighbours must hears us. I am going to make noise about this until third parties come to my rescue. This is no more spirituality but stupidity. 'Bro Solo, you are going nowhere until you perform your marital duty on your wife. No sex no going out today. If you step outside there, by the time you come back you won't meet me in this house again. You can't be more spiritual than the pastor, you can't be more catholic than the pope.'

'Sis Rose this is the work of the devil and we must not permit it. My spirit tells me the devil wants to capitalize on this small issue to cause problems at beginning of our marriage. We must not allow our guests to spend one more night in that hotel or else our bill will be heavy. Please let me go and settle them and I shall give you what you want. 'You will have to choose between your guests and your wife today,' Sis Rose replied him.

All the stories I have heard from my married friends on their first night are fantastic. This is a day I have patiently waited for. Why is mine like this? And tears rolled from her eyes down her cheeks. 'Sis Rose, are you crying? Why are you crying? Okay, sit down let me tell you why I have not touched you since yesterday...'

Are you still sure you can guess right? Wait until you read part 3. Your guess maybe right. Happy Monday Please do enjoy your day!!

 Part 3
'Sis Rose, I didn't marry you because of sex, I married you because I love you. Love is the basis for our union and not sex. I didn't tell you all these because I love you with all my heart. Don't push me to sleep with you if you don't know the reason why I don't want to sleep with you. You must have been thinking of many things in your mind like; if I am impotent or over-spiritual. I am not impotent neither am I over-spiritual. I am a complete man and will prove that in no time if you are patient.

You could remember the last time we traveled to your place for our wedding introduction and the four hours meeting I had with your parents and the elders in your clan? Did you notice I came out of the meeting moody and unhappy? You remember you asked me what was it we discussed for that long without you in the meeting? You also remember I had a 30 minutes meeting with your dad later that night?' 'Yes I remember everything you mentioned', she replied. What does that have to do with you not performing your conjugal obligation as my husband? If you are not impotent, prove it now and spare me all of these questions? I am not in court neither am I facing an elders council.

The only language I understand now is Sex! Sex! Sex! And nothing but sex. When people marry, it is normal for them to be anxious to devour themselves especially if they have not done it before. What I expect you to do now is to remove my pant and bra and make me feel like a woman and not tell me stories. I didn't marry you to tell me stories, I married you so you can make me a real woman.

Since you have decided to make me unhappy at my supposed honeymoon, you will never know happiness in your life. May God give you 100 fold of the pain you have caused me on the day of my joy. The scripture says, "defraud not one another" but you have defrauded me, may God pay you back all you have done to me.' Sis Rose, while in tears rained curses on her newly wedded husband.

'Sis Rose, are you cursing me? What have I done to warrant these terrible curses you just landed on me when you have not given me room to explain myself. I wish you could be patient enough to listen to me.' She interjected him, to listen to what? Who will listen to a half-man like you? Who will listen to a man who cannot make love to his wife, 24 hours after the wedding. Who will listen to an impotent man like you? Why she was naming him and renaming him with disgusting names, his phone rang. It was a call from his guests who had waited tirelessly for him. Bro Solo where are you? This is 10 minutes to 12 noon. He checked the wall clock and he remembered if his guests stay in the hotel beyond 12 that means a full payment for a day. He picked his bunch of keys and rushed out without seeking his wife's consent anymore.

By the time he got to the hotel it was 16 minutes past 12. 'You are welcome sir the hotel clerk greeted him with a scheduled bill of N85,000 for his guests for another day. But I am here to check them out, I am sorry for coming late. As you can see I just wedded and have lots to attend to. Please cancel the bill because they are not staying any further.'

'I am sorry that is not possible sir, it's a policy we don't have control over. Even if they are not going to stay further you have to pay for exceeding the stipulated time of 12 noon.' '

O my God, this is not fair' he protested! 'But we told you before they checked in. We also stated it clearly in our guest handbook.'

He rushed back to the house to pick from the money people sprayed them at their wedding reception. He got home and found the door slightly jammed. He rushed in and went for the money bag but it was not there again. 'Where are you dear?' No response! 'Sis Rose, where are you? Where is the money bag we kept here?' The absolute silence caused him to look round the house just to see a note on his bed.

"This is to tell you I have gone for good. I cannot live with a chameleon and an impotent man like you. Don't look for me until you find solution to your impotence. I have carried my box and the money they sprayed us at the wedding. While you continue your prayer meeting, I am going to sleep with any man who is willing to make me feel like a woman. God bless you Mr prayer warrior". Rose.

Are you still guessing?

Part 4
Bro Solo read the note with tears in his eyes. His marriage of one day just disappeared into thin air in a jiffy. 'Where could she have gone? Why didn't she give me just a little time to explain myself. Who will help me tell Sis Rose how much I love her? Who will help me tell her she's more important to me than sex?'

He put a call through to some people, first to her father. Please sir did you hear from my wife? His father-in-law was embarrassed by such a question. 'How can you ask me such a question when she's supposed to be with you? I hope nothing bad has happened to my daughter? Isn't she supposed to be with you?' He kept mum for a while until his father-in-law asked him again, 'where is my daughter?' 'She is.......' 'She is what?' The man asked with angry voice. 'Sir we had a little argument and she left the house without my knowledge.' 'Oh, is it over that issue? But you promised me you could handle it. You told me you are a Christian and your God can take care of it. I hope you haven't broken the rules?' 'No sir,' Bro Solo replied.

He tried to call other people just to know if he could have an idea about where she has gone to but everyone he called was in shock - how could a bride of barely 1 day leave her husband's house without his knowledge? Everyone, friends and family became all confused and started making contacts to know the whereabouts of Sis Rose.

His problems became more complex as calls were coming in from the hotel for him to settle the bills of his guests. They accused him of abandoning them because he couldn't leave his wife just to sort them out. His heart became bitter when he knew he had no N85,000 to settle his guests hotel bill. While he was thinking of what to do, his pastor's call came in. 'How are you Bro Solo, I hope you are back from Jerusalem now? How did you feel with your wife? I already know you felt very high. Was that your first time?' The pastor sensed something was wrong when Bro Solo did not answer any of his numerous questions. 'Bro Solo are you there?' 'Yes daddy, just that.....' 'Just that what?' 'Sir I will be coming to the office to explain to you.'

He immediately went to pastor's office. 'Sir, she has gone, your daughter has gone.' The pastor was a bit confused and he asked, 'gone to where?' While he was trying to ask further questions he gave him the note from Sis Rose. After the pastor read it he was embarrassed. You mean you didn't touch her? 'Hmmmm...... ,' Bro Solo exclaimed.

'Sir, you remember I told you I will see you immediately after our wedding?' 'Yes I remember, what is it?' 'Sir it is a long story but I will summarize everything now. My wife thought I am impotent but I am not. You think I am a virgin but I am not. I  impregnated a girl before when I was in secondary school but we lost the baby after three months.

Sis Rose have not been able to get married all this while because there is a generational tradition in her family. She lost her three sisters over this tradition after their husbands slept with them after marriage. The taboo of this tradition is that any man who marry their daughters must not have sexual intercourse with them until after one year of their marriage. Her sisters who took the tradition for granted lost their lives instantly but nothing happened to the men. This was the reason for the four hours meeting I had with her parents and the elders on our introduction day.

All the men who came to asked her hand in marriage quietly quit on hearing this terrible tradition but I gave them my word that I will stay with her for that one year without sex while we consult you for further prayers and deliverance session. How long is one year of sexual denial if it is the price for the life of my wife? Why won't I wait for one year if I could abstain from sex for 14 years. Unfortunately Sis Rose never gave me the opportunity to prove my love to her. If I had slept with her yesterday she would have been dead by now. I agreed to go into the one year marriage without sex with her because I love her.'

The pastor was dumbfounded and felt very sorry for judging him wrongly. 'How else can a man love his wife than this?'

Moral lessons;

1. Always give an opportunity for people to explain themselves regardless of the gravity of their offense.
2. Don't be quick to judge people when you don't know their intentions.
3. Don't be in hurry to quit.

What is your advice for them?

 Part 5
Immediately after Sis Rose left her 1 day old marriage, she traveled to a far place like the prodigal son. She went to live with an old friend from her primary school days in a place where nobody would know her. She quickly changed her phone number and vowed never to contact anybody until after three years. It was a nightmare for Bro Solo all the time she was away. He was married but single. In no time he was nicknamed "A man who married for one day".

Bro Solo tried all his best in search of his wife but all to no avail. The shame and pressure from his in-laws were unbearable as they pestered his life daily to produce their daughter. Some good friends and his pastor stood by him during this trying times as everyone turned on their search lights. Has she committed suicide? Has anything bad happened to her? Is she alive or dead? These and more questions were Bro Solo's daily thoughts.

Sis Rose kept to her promise as she went into the world in search of sexual satisfaction anywhere and everywhere available. She could sleep with three different men within a month. Her journey from Zion to Egypt was swift - a vibrant Christian sister turned a corporate prostitute as she jumped from one man to the other irrespective of their status. She did not spare anything in trouser that crossed her path. She was like a bird let loosed from the cage.

Sis Rose was fully aware of the tradition in her family because her father narrated the pros and cons of the tradition to her after she lost Magdalena, her immediate sister. She died on her wedding night after her husband made love to her. On hearing this, Sis Rose had gone to her pastor in her former church who is gifted in deliverance ministry. It was a seven days deliverance session. During this deliverance session it was revealed to the man of God the origin of the tradition.

Her great great grandfather in search of wealth, power and fame had married out all his daughters born and unborn to a powerful goddess in exchange. No woman can marry and enjoy marriage except they pay him back his dowry or abstain from sex for one full year. The dowries paid on his daughters were in exchange for wealth, power and fame. Those who cannot wait for the one year must provide a virgin, 14 cow heads, 14 she goats, 21 cowries and 24 yards of white cloth for sacrifice.

While conducting her deliverance, the spirit of the goddess was summoned to release Sis Rose and her marriage. The goddess had no problem if they slept with other men asides their husbands. They could sleep with any man as far as he wasn't married to them.

Who does not know that Satan doesn't give free gift. No wonder the word of God says "The fathers have eaten a sour grape and the children's teeth are set on edge". Satan at his best gives you one and takes two. He gave wealth, power and fame to a father but took all the marriages of the daughters for all generations.

On her second year of sexual adventure, Sis Rose became sick and was admitted into the hospital. The sickness was bad and was taking her life away. One of her kidneys was gone and only a kidney transplant could save her. Who will donate a kidney to Sis Rose in a strange land? Amongst all her numerous boyfriends, no one showed up to donate his kidney to save her life. It was at this junction she realized she had been foolish because she wanted sexual satisfaction. For the first time she called a friend to explain her ordeals and sought her help to reunite her with her family and husband.

Did she reconcile with her husband? Did her husband take her back? Who donated a kidney to save her life?

 Part 6

Her issue became complicated when she discovered that she was HIV positive. The cost of kidney transplant for a HIV patient was also a nightmare. All her corporate prostitution could not fetch her enough money for her kidney transplant. She lived in fear and agony daily as her health deteriorated. 'This is the time to return home like the prodigal son to my husband, earthly father and heavenly father.' She said to herself. 'But will my husband accept me back? What would I tell my father? How do I explain my foolishness to my pastor? Would I be able to face my church members again? How do I tell my unit leader in church that I left my husband because of one day sexual denial? How do I explain to people that see me as a good Christian?' She was lost in thought.Thoughts of suicide filled her mind. 'The pain and shame will be too heavy a cross for me to carry. What is the use of a woman with damaged kidney living with HIV? Even if the kidney transplant is successful what about the HIV virus? What a useless life! To die would have been better than this. O death where are you? If you don't come for me l, I will come to you.'

At about 11am on Thursday his phone rang, 'hello! Hello! Who am I on to?' Bro Solo asked his caller. 'It's me Angela, Rose's friend.' 'Oh, Angela how are you? Quite an age,' he greeted. 'Sir I have a good news and a bad news for you, which will you want me to share first, the bad news or the good news?' 'Please share the bad new first and let the good news follow, he said. Your wife is alive and reachable but'........ 'But what?' He interrupted her. She's sick and in need of a kidney donor to save her life. 'Please tell her I will donate my second kidney for her. At this time he had not known that she was also HIV positive.

Immediately he arrived at the hospital and saw Sis Rose he could not but shed uncontrollable tears because of her pitiable condition. 'Why didn't you give me a chance to explain myself? Why did you leave me in this agony without knowing I did what I did to save your life? If I had slept with you that night you would have been dead by now. You didn't allow me explain the agenda of my 4 and half hours meeting with your parents and elders.

'I am sorry, I was misled. I listened to the agent of the devil in sheep's clothing. I was not wise enough to ask you. It was Bro Sam who told me few days to our wedding that you are impotent. I didn't believe him initially but your attitude on our wedding day made me believe him.' Bro Sam is Bro Solo's friend in the same unit in church. He was nursing the intension of wooing Sis Rose when Bro Solo introduced her to him as his fiancée. This secret was known after it was discovered Bro Sam had told similar lies against two other brothers in church. He was suspended from his unit for three months after his confession.

'Let's leave all these talk for now and attend to your health. Can I see the doctor?' He was led to the doctor's office to donate his kidney to save his wife. Tests were carried out on him but his kidney could not be used. 'Please sir do something to save my wife's life, she must not die.' Bro Solo begged the doctor. 'If she was not HIV positive the transplant would have been much easier.' The doctor said. HIV what? Bro Solo collapsed and was rushed to the emergency ward for attention.

 Part 7
After some several hours they were able to revive Bro Solo from the shock. By the following day he was strong and fully restored. Considering the distance to their base, he requested his wife be referred to another teaching hospital closer to their home for easy management and accessibility. He settled all her bills and moved his wife to the nearest teaching hospital to their home. On arrival, the new consultant insisted on repeating all the tests already conducted in the former hospital.

They were really kept in suspense as the doctor refused to administer single drugs or injection but paracetamol. As Bro Solo beheld his wife in pain without been given any treatment he became sick of the whole thing. Sis Rose's mother suggested that she should be moved to a private hospital where she would be attended to properly. Despite his worries and fears, Bro Solo was still managing to muster some faith to pray to God. 'O Lord take away this reproach,' he prayed. While he was lying on the bench dosing, he got a tap from a nurse, 'sir the doctor will want to see you in his office.' He jumped up and ran to the doctors' office with fear and agitation. 'Sir, you sent for me', 'please sit down', the doctor said.'We have conducted all the necessary tests and we have repeated each test twice to be sure of what we are seeing.' 'Sir, is there any more thing than the kidney failure and HIV?' Bro Solo ask with shaking voice. 'I am sorry to tell you that your wife's case is so pathetic beyond our comprehension.' Bro Solo hearing this slumped again. Like the other time he was rushed to the emergency ward. His BP had gone extremely high beyond normal due to shocks and fear. The next time the doctor was to reveal the contents of the results he requested more mature people to be invited. His father-in-law and his pastor were readily available. The doctor broke the news to Rose's father and the pastor precept by precept with patience.

Sis Rose has no kidney failure neither was she HIV positive. After thorough investigations, it was discovered that this error came from the lab technician who conducted the test in the first hospital. He exchanged Sis Rose's tests result with another Rose. The difference in the surnames are 'A' and 'U' i.e Adeola and Adeolu. Sis Rose's undoing was using her father's name instead of her husband's name when she arrived the strange land. Obviously this error would have been avoided. The lab technician was sued for negligence and the former hospital was made to pay damages.
All the treatments given to Sis Rose was actually what caused the complications for her. All she had was typhoid and malaria. After three weeks she was discharged from the hospital cleared of all sickness. Praise God! Hallelujah. The return of Sis Rose was more celebrated than her wedding, it was a holistic return. A reunion with her husband, her family, the church and with God.

She confessed all her sins and her atrocities to her husband in the presence of the pastor. Her husband forgave her, her pastor prayed for her and God restored her. As at this time there was no need to worry about the family tradition again as one year of abstinence had already elapsed. Bedroom activities resumed immediately.

After two months, Sis Rose became sick and was taken to the hospital. This was a good sickness, Sis Rose was 5 weeks pregnant. She was delivered of a bouncing baby boy in due time. The joy in Bro Solo could not be measured as he was told he's now a father. The devil was a loser. Their pastor later explained one of the revelations he had about how the powerful family goddess was all responsible for all of Sis Rose's attitude. The spirit of the goddess became so angry for losing Sis Rose, so she capitalized on her desperation to have sex. Bro Solo and Sis Rose have since been living together in peace and harmony.

The End Of The End.

GOOD FIGHTS

Preacher : Dag Heward-Mills

READ: 1 Timothy 6:11-16

...and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

Jude 1:3

Do not fight a foolish fight. The Bible teaches us to fight the good fight. It is a good thing to fight the good fight of faith. To fight means to strive vigorously for something. However, there are many foolish fights a person can get into.

Years ago when I was in school I got into a fight with a bully in my school. Two things happened after the fight. First of all I thought I had won the fight or been equally matched with my opponent. But everyone around laughed at me and said I had been beaten. Secondly, for all my efforts I received a black eye. The entire region around my eye became black and stayed that way for about a week. After this fight, I came to the conclusion that there was no point in fighting such useless fights with useless people and a useless audience who did not appreciate my boxing and fighting skills!

From then on, I decided to fight only good fights that were worth fighting. I would only fight for good causes and I would only fight for things that had a good outcome. This is why today I do not engage in the fight of politics or in the fight for money. I learnt to avoid foolish fights many years ago in school. Today, I have discovered many good causes to fight for.

You can either fight for something good or fight for something foolish. Many people are engaged in foolish fights. The Word of God has shown me many good things that are worth fighting for. These things are worth the struggle and they are worth the effort.

Start your day with a blessing

DIRECT LINK

Topic : Direct Link

Devotional Type : Daily Dose

There is a direct link between sin and sickness. when God created man, he created him in a perfect state of health, but sin brought sickness unto man coupled with other life threatening issues or conditions. sickness has a direct and unsevered link to sin. So if you want to overcome your sickness overcome your sin.

_“Now you are well; so stop sinning, or something even worse may happen to you.” John 5:14_

This direct link between sin and sickness makes it possible for the same sacrifice that was offered for our forgiveness to be the same that was offered on behalf of our sickness. And that is why Jesus said, 'which one is easier to say, your sins be forgiven or thou be healed?' simply because it is almost the same thing. coming out of sin will gives marginal utility of coming out sickness, and coming out of sickness has its roots in sin, and so thereby sin and sickness is twisted, but Jesus has dissolved both in a single sacrifice.

The two hinderances however are; not accepting the forgiveness of sin or not knowing the full benefits of our forgiveness and refusing to claim the sickness free part. But in as much as you've received forgiveness, you're automatically licensed to receive your healing. The word of God talked about praying for the sick and he will be healed and if he has committed any sins, it will be forgiven him. The disciples were sent out to preach and heal, simply because they are both intertwined. However, it's a pity that many receive the first part and refuse the healing part. The same way you dont have to be sick is the same way you dont have to be sick.

The link that powers sickness has been destroyed in Christ Jesus on your behalf, and you need not remain in sickness. Jesus has paid for your sickness, dont pay for it again. we dont pay twice for the same thing. walk in the consciousness of believing in Christ Jesus with full assurance of divine healing and you will surely see it manifest on your behalf.

Through Jesus alone can we be saved from sickness, he alone died for our sins and took our sickness upon himself. Accept Jesus today and follow him. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus loves you.

The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. - Psalm 19:7-8

Where will you turn in a time of crisis? When tragedy hits? When disaster strikes? Will it be your favourite Website? People magazine? The morning newspaper? The evening news? You will need something to give you strength and direction in your time of need, and that will come from the Word of God.

As one writer said, "One gem from that ocean is worth all of the pebbles from earthly streams." Just a pebble from the ocean of God's Word can make all the difference in the world. How many in their affliction have found comfort from Scripture?

Many children of God can testify from personal experience that they have put the Word of God to the test throughout their years as a Christian. They have trusted in what the Bible has said, and it has sustained them and given them direction and hope and comfort when they needed it.

Little platitudes or clever sayings don't help, but the Word of God does. It has been said that "he who rejects the Bible has nothing to live by. Neither does he have anything to die by."

Things go in and out of style, but the Word of God never goes out of style. It never goes out of date, unlike this morning's newspaper.

The Word of God always will be relevant. That is why I urge you to get a good foundation in this Book, because it is only a matter of time until hardship will strike you.
Affliction will strike. Tragedy will strike. It happens in every life. There are no exceptions. But if you have a foundation in the Word of God, you will be ready for it when it comes. Don't wait until then to try and catch up. Get that foundation now.

Prayer: Ask the Lord to increase your faith and help you build a solid foundation in the Word of God so that you will be immovable in every circumstance.

Scriptural Reading: Psalm 19:7-14

7     The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple;

8     The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;

9     The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.

10     More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

11     Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward.

12     Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.

13     Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression.

14     Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

GIVE HONOUR

Topic :  GIVE HONOUR

Preacher : Dag Heward-Mills

READ:  Mark 6:1-6

But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

Mark 6:4

Where the anointing is not honoured, it does not work. Many men of God walk around, having great gifts to impart. Unfortunately, the anointing on their lives is not imparted to anyone and the power of God seems to not to work the way it should. This is nothing strange. It happened in the life and ministry of Jesus. When He went to His hometown He was not honoured. Instead, He was despised, ridiculed, questioned, interrogated! He was accused. He was challenged. His background was investigated. His family history was dug up and His message was not even listened to.

Jesus was heavily anointed. He was so anointed that He could raise the dead, cleanse lepers, walk on the water, rebuke storms and speak great prophecies. But the anointing simply did not work in Nazareth where He was not honoured.

There is no anointed person who can function properly where he is not honoured. There is no group of people who will truly benefit from the anointed servant of God if they do not honour him. This is why some pastors seem to have a greater impact outside their own churches than within their own churches. This is because they are honoured, respected and received as very great people outside their home church circles.

This is also why the devil tries so hard to discredit servants of God. Satan is trying to take away their honour. He knows that the anointing of the man of God will not work where he is not honoured.

FROM MRS JOYCE MEYER

A GOOD WOMAN, MAKES A GOOD WIFE AND A GOOD WIFE BECOMES A GOOD MOTHER. A GOOD MOTHER GIVES BIRTH TO A GOOD CHILD. IF YOU WANT TO BE A GOOD WOMAN, WIFE AND MOTHER, EMULATE THESE STEPS BELOW:

1). Never raise your voice for any reason to your husband. Its a sign of disrespect.

2). Don't expose your husband's weaknesses to your family and friends. It will bounce back at you. You are each other's keeper.

3). Never use attitudes and moods to communicate to your husband, you never know how your husband will interpret them. Defensive women don't have a happy home.

4). Never compare your husband to other men, you've no idea what their life is all about. If you attack his Ego, his Love for you will diminish.

5). Never ill treat your husband's friends because you don't like them, the person who's supposed to get rid of them is your husband.

6). Never forget that your husband married you, not your maid or anyone else. Do your duties.

7). Never assign anyone to give attention to your husband, people may do everything else but your husband is your own responsibility.

8). Never blame your husband if he comes back home empty handed. Rather encourage him.

9). Never be a wasteful wife, your husband's sweat is too precious to be wasted.

10). Never pretend to be sick for the purpose of denying your husband's right. You must give it to him how he wants it. It's very important to Men, if you keep denying him, it is a matter of time before another woman takes over that duty (even the anointed
ones)

11). Never compare your husband to your one time Ex-lover. Your home may Never recover from it if you do.

12). Never answer for your husband in public opinion polls, let him handle what is directed to him although he may answer for you in public opinion polls.

13). Never shout or challenge your husband in front of children. Wise Women don't do that.

14). Don't forget to check the smartness of your husband before he checks out.

15). Never allow your friends to be too close to your husband.

16). Never be in a hurry in the bathroom and on the dressing table. Out there your husband is always surrounded by women who took their time on their looks.

17). Your parents or family or friends do not have the final say in your marriage. Don't waste your time looking up to them for a final word. You must Leave if you want to Cleave.

18). Never base your love on monetary things. Will you still submit to him even if you earn more money than him?

19). Don't forget that husbands want attention and good listeners, never be too busy for him. Good communication is the bed rock of every happy home.

20). If your idea worked better than his, never compare yourself to him. Its always team work.

21). Don't be too judgmental with your husband. No man wants a nagging wife.

22). A lazy wife is a careless wife. She doesn't even know that her body needs a bath.

23). Does your husband like a kind of cooked food? Try to change your cooking. No man jokes with food.

24). Never be too demanding to your husband, enjoy every moment, resource as it comes.

25). Make a glass of water the very first welcome to your husband and everyone entering your home. Sweetness of attitude is true beauty.

26). Don't associate with women who have a wrong mental attitude about marriage.

27). Your marriage is as valuable to you as the value that you give it. Recklessness is unacceptable.

28) A confrontational wife, can never keep a good husband and her home, she will be grooming irresponsible daughters without manners.

29) A woman who cannot manage her children, home and  husband is a complete failure in life no matter her achievements.

30) A wise woman honors her husband, and respect him, in turn the husband will cherish her and love her dearly - it will be natural. Husband is a beautiful gift from God, no woman can stay without a husband. No good man on earth can tolerate a confrontational and argumentative wife except they have lost their value and become less of a real man.

31). Fruit of the womb is a blessing from the Lord, love your children and teach them well.

32). You are never too old to influence your home. Never reduce your care for your family for any reason.

33). A prayerful wife is very wise and intelligent and she  is a  better equipped wife, pray always for your husband and family. Conquer all your challenges and problems with prayers, only Christ can solve our problems - not parent, not pastors, not anybody but, only you and Christ.

GlobalCorruption Perception Index:
This year’s Corruption Perceptions Index highlights that the majority of countries are making little or no progress in ending corruption, while further analysis shows journalists and activists in corrupt countries risking their lives every day in an effort to speak out.The index, which ranks 180 countries and territories by their perceived levels of public sector corruption according to experts and businesspeople, uses a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean. This year, the index found that more than two-thirds of countries score below 50, with an average score of 43. Unfortunately, compared to recent years, this poor performance is nothing new. This year, New Zealand and Denmark rank highest with scores of 89 and 88 respectively. Syria, South Sudan and Somalia rank lowest with scores of 14, 12 and 9 respectively. The best performing region is Western Europe with an average score of 66. The worst performing regions are Sub-Saharan Africa (average score 32) and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (average score 34).

India doctors remove world's 'largest brain tumour':
Doctors in India who have removed a 1.8kg (2.2lbs) brain tumour from a 31-year-old man say it could be the largest in the world. The surgery, which lasted seven hours, took place on 14 February at the Nair hospital in the western city of Mumbai. But the procedure was not made public as doctors were not sure until now if it had been successful. "Now it's a matter of recovery but he's out of danger", Dr Trimurti Nadkarni, chief of neurosurgery, told the BBC. Santlal Pal, a shopkeeper from the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, had been living with the tumour for three years before his surgery was carried out. Doctors said Mr Pal had lost his vision because of the tumour but hoped he would regain it as he continued to recover from the operation. His wife told the Hindu newspaper that they had been told by doctors at three different hospitals in Uttar Pradesh that the tumour was inoperable. "Such cases are critical", said Dr Nadkarni, adding that Mr Pal needed 11 units of blood during the operation and after that, he was connected to a ventilator for a few days after the surgery.

Boston Dynamics Gives Another ReasonRobots Will Hate Us:
In one of the scariest moments in the movie Jurassic Park, a pair of intelligent Velociraptors, brought back to Earth by man's hubris, defy an assumption about their limitations: They open a kitchen door. Now imagine that the raptors are real, transformed into headless robot dogs that can negotiate stairs, fling open doors with their robotic claws and generally overcome the puny obstacles offered up by the human technicians at Boston Dynamics. The robotics company posted a video last week, showing two of their yellow SpotMini robots helping each other enter a door. Now the company has released a sequel in which a single 2.5-foot-tall (75 cm robot) robot is controlled by an unseen human driver who directs the robot claw to the door handle and issues a "Go" command.Besides providing nightmare fuel for humankind, and plotlines for the bleak tech world TV show Black Mirror, the robots could also offer more positive benefits. During a natural or human-made disaster, for instance, they could help navigate situations that would otherwise put people in danger.

Ford executive leaves over inappropriate behaviour:
The head of Ford's US operations is leaving the company immediately following an internal investigation into inappropriate behaviour. The carmaker said its inquiry had concluded that some of Raj Nair's conduct had been "inconsistent with the company's code of conduct". Ford did not specify why the investigation was started nor what it uncovered. Mr Nair said in a statement that "I sincerely regret" certain behaviour.Ford President and Chief Executive Jim Hackett said in a statement: "We made this decision after a thorough review and careful consideration. Ford is deeply committed to providing and nurturing a safe and respectful culture and we expect our leaders to fully uphold these values." Mr Nair had been President of Ford North America since 1 July. He was previously head of global product development and chief technical officer. He apologised, without elaborating on the reasons for his going. A spokesman for the US's second-biggest carmaker said the company would not be commenting on the nature of Mr Nair's departure.

Woman credits FaceTime with saving her life after her sister detected signs of a stroke:
Just a week after the Apple Watch aided a mother and son who were involved in a car accident, FaceTime is being credited with helping save a woman's life. As reported by the BBC, a woman was on FaceTime with her sister when she suffered from a stroke. Opokua Kwapong, a New York resident who lives alone, was on a FaceTime video call with her sister Adumea Sapong, who lives in Manchester, when Sapong noticed that something didn't seem right. Sapong explains that Kwapong thought she was "making a fuss," so she decided to reach out to their other sister, who is a doctor. "She thought I was making a fuss so I then conferenced in one of my other sisters, who is a doctor, and she could hear her speaking and could also tell that her speech was slurred. We both told her to call for help straightaway.” Kwapong then hung up and called 911. After hospital scans, she was diagnosed with having a clot on the brain and the stroke has left her paralyzed on her left side.Ms Kwapong, who works as a food scientist, said: “There is no doubt that FaceTime saved my life. If my sister had not noticed that something was not right, then things could have been so different."FaceTime is designed as very straight-forward video and audio calling feature, but as this story exemplifies, even the basic features can be lifesaving.

"Black Panther" Is Also Breaking Box Office Records In Africa:
As you might have heard, Black Panther is a massive, record-breaking box office sensation. Through Monday, the Marvel Studios release has earned $242.2 million domestically, the second-best four-day return ever for a feature film, behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens.Internationally, Black Panther is also a giant blockbuster, earning $184.6 million through Monday — and that's before the film has premiered in China, Japan, and Russia, three of the biggest markets in the world. The film has become a watershed for movies starring black actors, dismantling the myth in Hollywood that they aren't financially successful internationally. It is also an unprecedented hit for a film set in Africa — in Black Panther's case, the fictional nation of Wakanda, but still emphatically set within the continent.. So it's perhaps not that surprising that Black Panther also broke several box office records in Africa. Disney confirmed to BuzzFeed News that the film earned the third-biggest opening weekend in South Africa (behind 2015's Furious 7 and 2017's The Fate of the Furious), and set new opening weekend records in the film distribution territories of West Africa and East Africa (each consisting of several countries). The amounts of those records are fractions of what Black Panther has earned elsewhere in the world: In South Africa, it was $1.4 million; in West Africa, roughly $400,000, and in East Africa, roughly $300,000.Those figures indicate both how small and how new of a market sub-Saharan Africa remains for Hollywood features. For example, in Nigeria, which features a robust filmmaking industry known as Nollywood, many movies historically premiered either on television or direct to home video, bypassing theatrical distribution entirely. Much like Black Panther's impact elsewhere, however, the film has created a new model for how Hollywood could roll out its feature films in major African markets — and smaller ones, too.

Jennifer Lawrence Offendedby Dress Controversy- "This Is Sexist" :
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old Oscar winner wore a black, plunging Versace Pre-Fall 2018 gown to a photocall for her latest film Red Sparrow in London. Some people on social media criticized her over her outfit, which she wore while posing for photos with her male co-stars, all bundled up in coats amid the near-freezing temperatures."I don't really know where to get started on this 'Jennifer Lawrence wearing a revealing dress in the cold' controversy," she said. "Over-reacting about everything someone says or does, creating controversy over silly innocuous things such as what I choose to wear or not wear, is not moving us forward." Lawrence's femme fatale look at the photocall also corresponds to the persona of her Red Sparrow character; she plays a sexy Russian spy.

Lindsey Vonn’s Dad’s Brutal Olympic Bronz Medal Smackdown:
To most families, a bronze medal at age 33 - the oldest ever for an alpine skier - would be considered a proud accomplishment, but apparently not to Lindsey Vonn’s father. In an emotional third-place finish in her likely final women’s downhill Wednesday, Vonn fought tears while explaining just how special this medal was to her after finishing behind Italy’s Sofia Goggia and Norway’s Ragnhild Mowinckel. “I wanted to win so much for him,” Vonn, referring to her late grandfather, Don Kildow, said after the race. “But I still think I made him proud. Our family never gives up, and I kept working hard and I’m really proud of this medal. I know he is, too.”Her pride in the event wasn’t replicated by her father, Alan Kildow, who recently reconciled with Vonn after more than a decade of tension and little communication.“It’s great skiing, but it reminds me of something that Buddy Werner used to say,” Kildow told USA Today Sports, referring to a US skier from the 1950s. “He said there’s two places in the race, first and last, and I only want one of them.” Kildow’s criticism of Vonn’s bronze run was centered on her needing to be more aggressive. “Just little, little spots,” he added. “Just not quite risking enough. Not straightening the line out, just the ski was little … not quite carving in some places like it should have. But a great result. A great result.” Speaking after her race, Vonn, who was favoured to win the event, expressed how grateful she was to have her father and family get to see her compete in PyeongChang. Kildow introduced Vonn to the sport at a young age, but the two grew distant after a 22-year-old Vonn married Thomas Vonn in 2007, as outlined in a Sports Illustrated feature. She kept his last name after the couple divorced four years later and, in between then, Vonn won gold in the downhill at the Vancouver Games while Kildow watched from his office in the States. The death of Kildow’s father and Vonn’s grandfather, Don, brought the two emotionally back together last year.

Sevilla 0 Manchester United 0: De Gea ensures Mourinho's men stay level:
Manchester United survived plenty of pressure to claim a 0-0 draw at Sevilla in the first leg of their Champions league last-16 clash, owing particular thanks to an immense David de Gea save at the end of the first half.Sevilla controlled proceedings for much of the game and, although they generally struggled to craft clear-cut chances, Luis Muriel saw their best denied in stunning fashion by De Gea as United battled to return home with honours even. The pre-match debate surrounding Jose Mourinho's decision to drop Paul Pogba took on a new dimension after just 17 minutes when the Frenchman replaced the injured Ander Herrera, though he was unable to flourish as Sevilla dominated.United had to rely on the heroics of De Gea to keep them on level terms at the break, with the Spain international denying both Gabriel Mercado and Muriel late on – the Colombian drawing a remarkable save from the former Atletico Madrid star. The second half was similarly frustrating for the home side and United began to see more of the ball after the hour as the contest opened up. But ultimately neither team could find a way through, with Pablo Sarabia wasting a good chance for Sevilla late on, giving Vincenzo Montella's men work to do in the return leg at Old Trafford on March 13.

1.0 General Overview of the Nigeria Economy
The word economy refers to the mechanism through which labour, land, structures, vehicles, equipment and natural resources are organized to satisfy the desire of those who live in a society.Nigerian is a richly endowed nation in terms of her physical and human resources. Here are Nigeria’s physical Endowment:
i. Land: Nigeria covers about 923,768 square kilometers. About 85% of the land area is suitable for agricultural production.  12.2% is covered by forest resources while 1.4% contains water bodies which are richly endowed for fishery.  Only about 42.3% have been put into cultivation as at 2010.

ii. Natural Resources
Nigeria is also richly endowed with crude oil deposits. The crude oil reserve as at 2008 was 36.2 billion barrels, while crude oil production was 2.4 million barrel per day.

iii. Human Resource
Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the seventh largest in the world.  Her current total population is put at over 150million.

2.0 Nature and Structure of Industries in Nigeria:
The structure of Nigeria Economy refers to how resources are owned and how production, distribution and consumption are managed in Nigeria. The Nature and structure of the three major sectors in Nigerian Economy are illustrated as follows:

2.1The Contribution of Primary Sector (Agriculture), Secondary Sector (Industry, Building and Construction) and Tertiary Sector (Trade and Services) to Nigeria’s Real GDP in Percentages. The Agricultural Sector is made up of Crop Production, Livestock, Forestry and Fishery.  This is still the largest source of income in Nigeria.

The Secondary sector is made up of Industry which includes Crude Petroleum and Natural Gas, Solid Minerals and Manufacturing; Building and Construction.  The industrial sector is the second largest contributor to the national economy.

The Tertiary Sector is made up of Wholesale and Retail Trade, and Services which includes Transport, Communication, Utilities, Finance and Insurance, Producers of Government services and others. Wholesale and Retail Trade occupied the third position, followed by Services sector.

3.0 Agricultural Sector
Agriculture may be defined as the cultivation, growing and harvesting of crops and the rearing of animals purposely for food production and use of man. This use we are talking about may be in the form of shelter, food, and clothing or even raw materials for industry. In other words, Agriculture is an art involving the production of plants and animals of the use of man. It is also the disposal of crops and animals including their by-products through marketing.

3.1Components of agriculture
1.Crop production: components production involves cultivation, planting and growing of food and cash crops. When we talk of crop production, it can on small or large scale basis, for consumption and for commercial purposes. Crop production is divided into two :
1 cash crops
2 food crops

Cash crops
These type of crops are produced mainly as raw materials for industries local and for export. Examples of cash crops includes cocoa, rubber, groundnut, palm kernels, cotton etc. Initially most of these crops were for export, but nowadays they are used as raw materials by local industries.

Food crops
These food crops are produced mainly for consumption and they include yam, cassava; cocoyam, maize, rice, vegetables, potatoes etc.

Livestock farming
This type of farming involves rearing of animals like goats, sheep, poultry etc. Livestock is produced largely to satisfy domestic consumption. Fulani are mostly cattle rears in Nigeria – they are situated in the northern states. Livestock is a source of food for many people.

Forestry
Forestry resources involve planting and management of resources from the forest such as trees for the use of man. Examples of forestry products include timbers, herbs and bush animals.
Timbers are used for manufacturing papers and for furniture. Examples of these timbers are Mahogany, Tick, Iroko etc.

Fishing
This type of farming involves breeding and catching of fishes from the rivers mainly for hu7man consumption. Fishes constitute main sources of protein. Nigerian imports fish because they are yet to be sufficient in production of fish.

Systems of Agriculture
Systems of Agriculture include:
Peasant or subsistent farming
Mechanization or mechanized farming
Plantation farming
Cooperative farming
Commercial farming

PEASANT/SUBSISTENCE FARMING
This type of farming referred to as the type of agriculture which is small scale farming involving the use of simple farm implements. It involves small farm holdings. Production is for both domestic consumption and for export. It is also for the consumption of the farmer and his household.

This type of farming is also known as commercial farming. It involves in production of food, animals and cash crops in large quantities for commercial purposes. e.g. state farming. It also involves the use of machinery and other forms of capital such as irrigation, improved seedlings and fertilizers.

PLANTATION FARMING
It is known as capital intensive system of farming. Capital in the form of machines, tools, improved seedlings and artificial plant nutrient is used.
A feature of plantation agriculture is that it is more common in the forest regions and it is mostly associated with tree crops.

COOPERATIVE FARMING
These type of farming are usually carried out on large scale. It is when a number of people come together and pool their resources together in order to derive the economies of large scale production. They can obtain loan from the banks receive aids from government, organize research activities and have access to expensive farm equipment.

COMMERCIAL FARMING
Commercial farming is the large scale farming involving the use of machinery and other forms of capital such as irrigation method. The system requires a large acre of land and modern outlay and modern equipment are used. The aim is to sell in large quantity and maximize profit.

THE DECEPTION AND FRUSTRATION OF SIN

Devotional Type : SOD TODAY.

TOPIC: THE DECEPTION AND FRUSTRATION OF SIN

SCRIPTURE: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Sin ruins sense; iniquity corrupts mentality.

It has been established from Scriptures that the act of sin is the root of deception and frustration in life. There are many people today in the eternal flames of hell fire who were deceived into eternity in hell on the account of sin.

Take note of these thoughts on sin:
1. Sin is a promise breaker. Adam and Eve never achieved what satan promised them when they sinned.
2. Sin is a heart breaker. Adam and Eve ended heartbroken because they could not achieve what the devil said they would achieve when they disobeyed God.
3. Sin is a destiny fighter. It was sin that ruined the destiny of Adam and Eve,"and Samson.

What then are some of the consequences of sin?
1. Sin exposes the nakedness and wretchedness of man. The glory of God that covered Adam and Eve was lifted and their nakedness exposed by the lifestyle of sin.
2. Sin ruins sense; iniquity corrupts mentality. Adam who had high mentality to name all the animals on earth suddenly used leaves for cover because of a deterioration of mentality as a result of sin.

Beloved, if you are not interested in living a life that is denuded and wretched before God and man on your journey of life, repent from sin and surrender your life totally to God.

REMEMBER THIS": Sin ruins sense; iniquity corrupts mentality.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Avoid the life of sin.
2. Avoid the wrong company and every form of temptation that would lead you to sin.

PRAYER: O LORD,"I ask for forgiveness from any sin that has held me captive. Deliver me from any form of temptation and help me to live for You, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

CONFIDENT IN THE DAY OF CRISIS

DEVOTIONAL TYPE : RHAPSODY OF REALITIES

PREACHER : PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

TOPIC: CONFIDENT IN THE DAY OF CRISIS.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).

TThere’re two key words I’ll line you to notice in our opening verse. The first is “perfect” which means “made complete,” while the second is “judgment.” Judgment is from the Greek word, “krisis,” the derivative of the English word, “crisis. It depicts a time of intense difficulty or danger. So, whether you have a crisis in the Church or on your job, at home or in the country where you live, God wants you to have boldness or confident assurance in the day of crisis.

Mark 4 gives credence to this. It tells the story of how the disciples were rattled amidst a raging tempest. Distraught with fear, they cried out to Jesus, Master, carest thou not that we perish?” (Mark 4:38). At that hour of crisis—that period of turbulence—Jesus was unflustered. With poise, boldness and an undeniable confidence, He hushed the tempestuous weather to sleep. Mark 4:39 says, he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”

He then chided His disciples saying, “Where is your faith?” Faith in what? In the Father’s love! This was the confidence Jesus had. John 15:9 (NLT) says, “I have loved you even as the Father has loved me. Remain in my love.” When you function in the Father’s love, you become unafraid of anything because you know the Father is with you and in you. That fellowship inspires confidence. You’re conscious that you dwell in His love. 1 John 4:18 says, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear...

It makes no difference what you face in life, refuse to be anxious; calm the storm. Give the Word of faith. Heal the sick, restore sight to the blind, unstop deaf ears, and restore maimed limbs! In spite of the turbulence, declare peace, tranquility, and calmness over situations and circumstances. Be bold and confident in the day of crisis because you have the Father’s love; meaning you’ll always win.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the confidence I have in your Word and in your love for me. In the hour of crisis, I give no room to doubt and unbelief; I'm strengthened, having the confident assurance that you're always in, and with me. I live in perpetual victory, above the adversary and all adversities, in Jesus Name. Amen .

FURTHER STUDY:
Proverbs 24:10
[If] thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength [is] small.

1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

Romans 8:31-37
What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth. 34 Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

THE THEORY OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & ECONOMIC GROWTH

CONTENT:
1.0 What is economic development

2.0 Differences between economic growth and development

3.0 Characteristics of underdeveloped economy

4.0 Factors which influence economic development

5.0 Problems of economic development in Nigeria

1.0 What is economic development?
Economic development maybe defined as the process whereby the level of national production i.e. national income or per capita income increases over a period of time. Economic development is not the same thing as industrialization and national development. It’s purpose of the people in an economy, while industrialization is part of the process or characteristics of economic development. With economic development, there are structural transformations in the different sectors of the economy as well as general improvements in various areas of economic activity leading to increased economic welfare of the citizens.

ECONOMIC GROWTH
Economic growth is the process by which national income or output is increased. An economy is said to be growing if there is a sustained increase in the actual output of goods and services per head. Certain government policies tend to hinder economic development projects in economically unviable areas and delays in giving approval to prospective businessmen for the establishment of manufacturing industries.
